Entrance to Queen Califia's Magical Circle

This installation is the only American sculpture garden and the last project created by Nikki de Saint Phalle, a French artist who lived from 1930 to 2002.  It is located in Kit Carson Park in Escondido, California, USA.  It consists of a circular snake wall, an internal maze, Queen Califia and eight totem figures.  Around the garden's perimeter are native plants and trees.
