Exmouth Offshore Lifeboat Station

The RNLI has recently built a new lifeboat station to house its Mersey class boat, the Margaret Jean. This is launched from a carriage which is sent down the ramp and out to sufficiently deep water to allow it to launch.

The station is a bold piece of architecture (designed by The Bazeley Partnership in Bude) but is a valuable addition to Exmouth, both in terms of its form and function.
