Eye of Kuruman

The Eye of Kuruman, also known as Die Ogg (Afrikaans for The Eye), is a natural spring which delivers water to the town all year around.

In this arid area of the Kalahari water is a very valuable resource, so the town of Kuruman formed around this water source.

The area is now central to a number of Iron Ore and coal mines in the area, and spplies the vast farms in the area.

The Eye of Kuruman is a park open to the public with a small lake of water. A small entrance fee is charged.
