This night offers a Super Moon, Blue Moon and a Blood Moon of a total lunar eclipse. Awaiting the eclipse, the landscape was flooded with the light of the full moon exposing the contorted badlands landscape. Within a few minutes everything turns dark and the moon is now a deep orange, a breeze blows and gets cold, a coincidence, not unlink a solar eclipse.
Fonts Point is a high viewpoint above the Anza Borrego Badlands. It is part of the Anza Borrego State Park, the largest state park in California and located within the Colorado Desert. The area is west of the infamous San Andreas Fault and the Salton Sink.
