Forgotten vegetables Nooterhof

De Nooterhof is a nature-friendly and educational park where adults and children get to know nature. Old Dutch vegetables are grown in the forgotten vegetables that used to be on the table. Cardoons, turnips, carrot parsley, collard greens, parsnips, Jerusalem artichoke, palm cabbage, black radish, kohlrabi, crosnes, chard, cardoon and evening primrose: all forgotten vegetables. Yet these are names that are less familiar to us today than couscous, spaghetti or shawarma. Recipes of these vegetables are also available in the Nooterhof and cooking afternoons and tastings are organized.
