Friends have a villa (holiday cottage) up in the hills near the village where this panorama was shot. (I am not entirely sure of the location indicated on the map so if anyone knows better I will be pleased to hear from you). We had stopped to buy yoghart and milk from the dairyman and his wife and daughter, a friendly and jolly familly, on this cold and wet morning. Infact it had hardly stopped raining all the time we were staying there and everything was so muddy that it put paid to our hunting and shooting wild boar. (In a way I was relieved by this). Many middle class people from Tehran with a bit of money to spare, build such holiday homes up in the hills near the Caspian. To reach this area up in the hills one passes through thirteen which shorten the drive by going through mountains rather than around them.
By the way, the new build beyond the our car is typical of such holiday homes.
