The hotel has two swimming pools, one for adults and one for children.

The Hotel Planamar is a modern resort hotel located 50 metres from the sandy beach on the Costa Maresme, 300 metres from Malgrat de Mar town centre. Malgrat de Mar was originally a farming village, but all that remains of Malgrat's former existence is an old centre with a church, small square, town hall and daily vegetable market. There are plenty of boutiques in the town, especially for cheap clothing, and some local handcrafts.
