Dream Spaces
"In the seemingly homogeneous works of Hanna Ewa Masojada one can distinguish pieces that form various groups of works of similar forms, inspirations and climate. All of the works were created in acts of which the final outcome are paintings on a delicate fabric – almost monumental in size, intensive in colour and differentiated in composition. The paint in those paintings forms stylised shapes, creates stains, circles or a dense structure of lines. The technique and structure of the material doesn’t allow the artist for long moments of contemplation during work. The composition must be complete before the first stroke. Every form and colour are “seen” and established earlier. The colour, in almost every work, is very intense, often correlating with the colours of autumn. The deep red-maple colour of autumn in Japan, beautifully shown in the movie by Takeshi Kitano “Dolls” with costumes by Yahji Yamamoto, influenced the colour temperature of the pieces. (...)"
