The lighthouse at the Kilauea National Wildlife Refuge was under repair at the time of this visit and the Park Ranger indicated that completion is estimated to be 2013. Yikes, thankfully the beauty of this location is not dimenished as you can see by the view of the offshore island. Would have been fun to do a panorama from on top of the lighthouse though.
