Hoar and Ground Frost near Hinton Charterhouse, Somerset. VR

Hoar Frost is usually formed during freezing, foggy weather. When the temperature of the surface falls below zero. The feathery type occurs when the temperature falls below zero but before dew is formed. This picture shows both hoar and ground frost.

The grass is covered in ground frost which is formed when the temperature of the grass is below freezing point.
