KRIVAN MOUNTAIN

A view from a few hundred meters of the summit.

From the summit of the mountain, can be see the frontier with Poland, and other high summits of the Tatra mountains.

Krivan is not the highest peak, albeit it is the most easily accessible from Slovakia, as you can judge by looking at the number of tourists hiking all the way to the top. There are two or three main accesses to this mountain, the overall climb is long (approx.4 hours from Strbske Pleso), but there is no need for special equipment.

It is recommended though, to check meteorological precisions before heading for the summit, as weather can change quickly, just like in any other mountainy area.
