The plantation house was the main building of a former (agriculture- and livestock) plantation on the island of Curaçao in the Dutch Caribbean. Landhuis Brievengat was build around 1750. In those days the plantation was about 500 hectares (1,250 acres). In 1877 the house was destroyed by a hurricane. Now it's completely renovated and in use as a museum.
