Linlithgow Palace

This palace was the birthplace of Mary, Queen of Scots 1542. From 1603 onwards(Union of the Crowns) the palace was not used very much and eventually was destroyed in 1746 by the Duke of Cumberland's army. A mock swordfight/demonstration is being run in the  courtyard. Wikipædia →
