The Canal des Pangalanes is a 400 km long artificial waterway, built in the 1900s, located close to the east coast of Madagascar, which allows river navigation between Toamasina and Farafangana. On its shores live the tribes of the Antemoro who live by fishing. We slept in these huts in Manakara, bordering the local village.
