Mangrove Plantation Aceh Indonesia
Indonesia

The tsunami of December 2004, completely destroyed the mangrove plantations around Banda Aceh. Local fishermen were unable to gather seafood from the affected areas. New mangrove plants have been introduced to the area. Fish, shrimps and crabs have returned along with other wildlife. The mangrove has increased water quality and reduced the temperature.
