High Summer on the outskirts of the hamlet of Midford which lies in, what used to be, the Valley of the Nightingales. The Cam Brook provided power for a Mill in the front of the panorama.
There is a herd of cows grazing in the meadow of yellow buttercups to the rear. It's called a Water Meadow because, in the old days, it often flooded.
Buttercups are poisonous to people and can produce blistering on the skin.
