Monument to the Discoveries, Lisbon
Located on the the north bank of the Tagus River estuary in Lisbon, The Monument to the Discoveries commemorates the golden age of exploration in the 15th and 16th centuries. The 52-metre high structure features famous Portuguese figures such as Henry the Navigator, Vasco da Gama and Ferdinand Magellan.
