Mission San Juan Bautista exterior

Founded in 1797, Mission San Juan Bautista is part of the El Camino Real, the highway that links all the early Spanish Missions that run from Baja California, Mexico to the San Francisco Bay Area, California.  It is the 15th mission established of the total 21 in California.  This mission sits on the edge of the San Andreas Fault, which runs between the church and the farm fields to the northeast.
