The Benedictine Convent of St John at Müstair is embedded in a beautiful mountainous landscape. The Christian monastery has been build in the Carolingian period around the year 800 and is one of eleven UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Switzerland.
Here at the border of the Swiss canton of Graubünden with South Tyrol in Italy you will notice a remarkable change in traditional architecture between Müstair and the next village.
