Introduction of the Center for Space and Remote Sensing Research

The Center for Space and Remote Sensing Research was established on July 1 st , 1984 at the National Central University . Its primary missions are in the research and teaching of space and remote sensing related sciences, and also in the development of new remote sensing technology and applications. Currently, there are approximately 100 personnel working at the center, which includes: a director, who is chaired by one of the professors; a secretary; researchers that include professors, associated professors, assistant professors, and assistant researcher; technicians that include specialists , engineers and technicians, and contract employees associated with various research projects. In addition, the faculty members at the center are jointly appointed with other departments, where they offer courses and supervise graduate students related to their relevant expertises.
