Old and New “Rümmele” Footbridge, Wutach Canyon, Black Forest

The Wutach Canyon is a narrow canyon at the eastern rim of the Black Forest. It stretches over 30 km with a depth of 60 to 170 m. In the canyon you can find unique biotopes. The Wutach Canyon is part of the Nature Park “Southern Black Forest”. The old footbridge named after its builder “Rümmele” was demolished by a flood in 1995. The new footbridge was constructed 1995 to 1996.
