Park near Train station. Jelgava, Latvia
Latvia
Station park is located in central part of town near the Jelgava train station. While all of the town was almost completely destructed in WW2, the train station bulding was not destroyed. The Lacplesis monument in the park is dedicated to Jelagava deliberators. The original monument was open on June 22, 1932. At soviet occupation time it was removed from the park and partially destroyed. On November 18, 1992 was opened newborn copy of Lacplesis monument.
