Peat trenches in Belarus

The peat trenches near to Mgle village. It was the bog more than 50 years ago but now it's the one from many places in Belarus where ecosystem was changed. People extracting peat for fertilizing soil and also using it like a petrol (pressed peat burning well). On the conquered from the bog ground people can grow corn or other grain cultures. In trenches you can see musquashes and big crucians - I see no ecological catastrophe as it was сlaimed by some people. Also draw your attention on the beautiful small lakes on the edge of the bog - I like fising there
