PERU - Maras Salt Mines 2

The Salineras de Maras, or Maras Salt Mines are an exploitation of a salted stream in the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Peru. Over the centuries, an extended complex of terraces salt pans have been built, nowadays shared amoong families from the village of Maras. It is an increasingly popular tourist attraction in the region of Cusco. This was shot late afternoon in May.
