Peter and Paul Fortress - Cathedral Square

Major Attractions:

Peter and Paul Cathedral – Russian emperors are buried here from Peter the Great to Nicholas II.

The Boathouse – the building constructed for the favorite boat of Peter the Great – "Grandfather of the Russian fleet".

The Mint – since Peter the Great to the present day in this place mint coins; notes, however, do not release.

Commandant's House – the building where commandants of fortress were living and where were located their offices.

Nikolskiy Curtain Wall and Gate - was named after a Church of St. Nicholas which stood nearby on the Petrograd Side in the 18th century. The stone fortifications were completed in 1729.
