Playa La Mina

The nearby plate tells us this:

"This is one of the most popular beaches in the Paracas National Reserve due the astonishing scenic beauty of the high rocky cliffs, combined with a gentle and crystal water sea and beautiful coasts of fine white sand.

This beach is called La Mina because there is an old abandoned coal mine at its southern end. There are some concessions for  mariculture near La Mina, which are very successful. Scallop (Argopecten purpuratus) is the main product from these concessions, and it is consumed locally and exported as well.

Activities: Recreation, camping, sport fishing, diving, fossils (Those fossils were originally plants and are about 300 million years old)"
