Point Woronzof Bluffs, Anchorage, Alaska

Stepping up to the edge at the top of the bluff some 45 meters (148 feet) above sea level is just part of the thrill at Point Worenzof. The sight of the Anchorage skyline to the right and the slowly setting sun to the left only helps to dwarf the people on the beach below and gives you a heightened sense of elevation. The real thrill comes from experiencing the rumble of a low flying jet aircraft either landing or taking off from the adjacent runway at Anchorage International Airport.
