The Muros y Noya (Muros and Noia of Galician), also known as or Muros Ria de Noya, is part of the Rias Baixas and is located between the estuary of Corcubión north and south Arosa estuary. It is situated in the province of La Coruña, and outlines their Barbanza peninsula on the south coast. The river flows into the estuary Tambre.
Tambre waters are those that stem from its confluence with the sea, a habitat in which they develop bivalves, clams and cockles, which are the economic engine of the surrounding villages.
The waters of the river start at the beach "Aguieira" in Puerto del Son, on the south shore, and ends at the beach of "San Francisco" in Louro, on the north shore. These beaches are located "As gaivotas" in Miñortos, "Testal" in Noya, "Brona" Outes, "Medrón" and "Parameán" in Esteiro, "Cabanas" in Just "O Castelo" in walls, between other.
Among peoples to highlight are those who give their name to the river: Walls, behind Mount was founded as a fishing village Louro hidden from view of pirates and privateers, Noia, quintessential medieval village, other villages are Puerto del Son and Portosín.
