River Ancholme
England

A panoroamic view of the Ancholme Navigation near South Ferriby, which runs from Ferriby Sluice in the north where it joins the River Humber, to Bishopbridge in the south. The river once provided a trading link to the Humber for places like Brigg and Brandywharf. It is now only used by pleasure craft and popular for course fishing. You can see the cement works and marina to the north. The conveyor belt to the cement works comes all the way from the opencast quarry just visible on the hill top to the east.
