Skibelund Scrub is today a monument park. The place was in 1865 after the loss of Southern Jutland brought as a national meeting and banquet space, which today is surrounded by memorials to Danish personalities including Ludvig Schroder, Poul la Cour and H. D. Kloppenborg-Skrumsager. The layout of the memorial was quickly followed by more, and today there are a total of 22 memorial stones in Skibelund thicket.
