On this side of the point, we can see more to the north and east including Boulder mountain the northern peaks of the Henry mountains. I have to imagine you could see 100+ miles on a clear day. Much of the view on this day was clouded by the smoke from western fires. All around the point are bristlecone pines, old sentinels.
