The breck, Orphir, Orkney

The Breck is the east end of a pleasant walk along the Orphir shore of Scapa Flow. It is just a few miles south east of here that Squadron Commander E.H Dunning was the first person to land an aircraft on a moving ship when he landed his Sopwith Pup on board HMS Furious on the 2nd of August 1917.
