The ruins of Dunmanus Castle, County Cork
Ireland

Located on the north side of the Mizen peninsula in County Cork, Dunmanus Castle is the largest of a dozen such fortifications built by the O’Mahony Clan. The tower house was built in 1430 to stand guard over the bay that separates the Mizen and Sheep’s Head Peninsulas.
