The Spiral Arch Bridge
Built a little before 1900 to carry a carriage road over a trolley car line in Philadelphia's West Fairmount Park. The trolley was abandoned in 1946, now you have to hike to the bridge. It is well known for its striking offset parallel arches. This was a common design in the 19th century for railroad bridges that cross a road or stream diagonally, but rarely exhibited to such striking architectural effect.
