The Torrs
Torr Vale was the industrial centre of New Mills beginning in the industrial revolution. The archimedes screw is a community owned hydro-electric power generator at the confluence of the rivers Sett and Goyt in New Mills, Derbyshire. The large viaduct carries Union Road between New Town and the town centre.
