Kadina Town Centre
Yorke Peninsula

Kadina is the largest town on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia with a population of about 4000. The name Kadina was derived from the aboriginal word for Lizard Plain. In 1859 copper was discovered near Kadina which attracted many Cornish copper miners. The town is a commercial centre of the area and has many well preserved historic limestone buildings.
