Wight Shipyard, East Cowes, Isle of Wight

The Wight Shipyard is a high speed craft and aluminium ship builder located at East Cowes on the Isle of Wight. The shipyard is based in an historic shed that was once home to the British Hovercraft Corporation. The building is also famed for having the world's largest Union Jack, which is painted on the hangar doors. The facility has also produced a number of high speed passenger craft for the local Red Funnel ferry company. The vessels pictured under construction are destined for service with MNBA Thames Clippers on the River Thames.
