It is located in Zeyne (Sütlüce) town on the way to Mut in Gülnar District, Mersin. It was made by addition of burial chambers in different times to the main gate built in a large court with a timber roof cover and timber columns. Graves are made into the court. Sheikh Ali Semerkandi Shrine, also known by the name of ‘Zeyne Shrine’, was built during the Anatolian Beylikhs. There is a locally told myth about Sheikh Ali Semerkandi. Semerkandi, who also spent some years as a shepherd, was offended by harsh words as to his bad herding of a Turkmen passing by while he was with his animals dying of thirst. Being really upset, Semerkandi prayed Allah with distress. Then, he hit the rocks with his stick and a water source sprang, just to save all the thirsty animals. This site is currently used as a recreational area.
