Frary Peak, Antelope Island State Park, Utah, USA
Utah

Frary Peak on Antelope Island rises 2,400 feet (approximately 730 meters) above the level of the Great Salt Lake to a peak of 6,597 feet (or 2 km).  Surrounded by the Great Salt Lake with its marshes and salt flats, Frary Peak offers an excellent vantage point for views of the densely populated Wasatch Front to the east and sparsely populated Great Salt Lake desert to the west and north.

Antelope Island State Park is most famous for its free ranging herd of bison, but is also home to pronghorn sheep (locally referred to as "antelope"), and bighorn sheep.  Birdlife is abundant both along the shores and interior trails.   Geologically, Antelope Island has some of the oldest and youngest rocks in Utah, coming in a variety of colors and forming many interesting outcrops, ridges and cliffs.
