Historic dance studio “Petit Trianon” at the Riga Art Nouveau Museum
Riga

Famous historic dance studio “Petit Trianon” from St.-Petersburg has presented a one-of-a-kind performance at the Riga Art Nouveau Museum.

Inspired by atmosphere of the early 20th century, the performance was designed to be first staged in Riga Museum, in authentic interiors of an apartment that was carefully restored to a marvelous and refined style of Art Nouveau epoch.

Actors, seen on the panorama, have posed during their daytime rehearsal. The original performance, however, staged in the evening, with special decorations, lights and music looked very much different. Poignant singing and passionate tango, historic dances of the times of Mata Hari and “living pictures” – all have taken the public to an atmosphere of private evenings which could have been once enjoyed by our grand grandparents.
