In the chapel to the left of the transept is buried Cardinal-King D. Henrique and those of the sons of D. Manuel I; the one on the right is the tomb of D. Sebastião and the descendants of D. João III. The church also houses, among others, the tombs of Vasco da Gama and Luís Vaz de Camões, by Costa Mota, uncle.
