Kangeq - an abandoned settlement at the mouth of the Nuuk Fiord.
The settlement was officially closed down and abandoned May 1st 1974.
The settlement is not far from the first Danish colony in Greenland and from 1721 to 1728 home to the apostel of Greenland Hans Egede.
In 1728 Hans Egede moved the colony to Godthåb a little further in the fiord.
Godthåb is now called Nuuk and the capitol of Greenland
