This shot was taken from outside Black Mountain Lodge while the crew was dispersing after the massive night. The rope way you can see here takes about 7 mins and starts at 600 meters, the top is around 1350. There is another double chairlift which then takes you to 1550 which is pretty high for Hokkaido.

For experienced back country boarders and skiers prepared with the right gear and in good weather you can then hike to the top of Kurodake 1984 meters and score some amazing lines all the way down to the bottom of the ropeway.

Early season this isn't doable but from the end of Jan anything is possible !
