The architect Fernando Távora carried out between 1957-58 the project for the Quinta da Conceição Municipal Park, which was privately owned and became a public park. There were already elements that guaranteed a structure to maintain: the avenue, the chapel, the cloister, the tanks and therefore its realization lasted for years. Fernando Távora noticed the conflict between the new accesses to the Port of Leixões and the Quinta land, but solved the problem with a suggestion for accesses that was accepted by the Porto City Council
