We are in the heart of the coastal desert of Peru, also called Desert of Nazca. We have reached the southern end of the Cañon de Los Perdidos, or Lost Canyon - going down the sandy slope towards the Rio Ica (Ica River). 15 km further south, the Ica River meets the Pacific Ocean.
