From the old convent of Santa Ana, by Benedictine Nuns (1510-1895). Primitive Gothic temple, it would have been enlarged and deeply remodeled between 1707-1737, so what we see today is a Baroque Joanine Church, with a tower with Manueline crown. The demolition and renovation of the convent building took place between 1897-1905. The original portico of the Gothic church was transferred to the entrance of Horto da Congregação da Caridade to the east of the current building. It preserves only the early 16th century traces, the tower's Gothic spire and the portal's lace lace, involved in later constructions.
