This is the most central and commercial place of the town of Corfu. At this square you can see the Annunziata monument which is a tall old campanile without a church attached to it, which originally was a catholic monastery, built in 1394 and destroyed in 1713. The campanile, which is left intact, bears the venetian emblem of Corfu on it.
