The rocks tombs that are located in Aslanköy Plateau of Toroslar District, Mersin, are close to the center of the plateau. The aqueduct, which is located in Başpınar region and which was accidentally found during road construction works, is a vaulted one. The structure, which probably dates back to Roman Period, is made of face limestone. It must have been constructed to lead the water rising from the peaks of mountains. Local people frequently visit the place in order to drink its special water.
