"Semi Marathon International de la Ville de Béjaïa" is a member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races. The race take place in May and is open to elite and amateur runners. It’s now in its 9th year and attracted about 4500 runners (all categories) this month. The panorama shows a quintet elite passing the 9th km (Liberty Street) composing of Jawed Laaris (Moroccan No. 7), Loitarakwai Lengurisi (Kenyan No. 3), Philip Kipkurgat Yiego (Kenyan No. 6), Tegegne Yirsaw Atalay (Ethiopian No. 11) and the winner of the previous edition Taoufik Allam (Morocco No. 1) that cross the finish line in the order named.
