Dunluce Castle is a ruined medieval castle built on the edge of basalt outcropping between Portballintrae and Portrush in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
The firsth fortification was raised in Dunluce in the 13th century by the 2nd Earl of Ulster, later Dunluce Castle was home of Clan McDonnall and served as the seat of Earl of Antrim until 1690, since that time the castle was deteriorated and parts were scavenged to serve as material for another buildings. Today Dunluce Castle is a National Monument controlled by Northern Ireland Environment Agencie.
